The “turnover chain” era appears to be over for the Miami Hurricanes. And no, we’re not kidding.
Miami offensive line coach Alex Mirabal told a recruit that Miami’s new staff is changing things up, according to a report from Rivals.
“We got rid of the turnover chains and stuff like that,” Mirabal told Francis Mauigoa. “We’re here to play football.”
If this is true, Mario Cristobal is wasting no time changing the philosophy in Miami.
Some fans actually like that Miami is getting rid of the “turnover chain.” Others, however, aren’t that happy about it.
“Might actually be time to take them seriously now,” one college football fan tweeted in response to this news.

“Not sure what the reasoning behind it is but if Cristobal is like ‘let’s focus on actually winning football games and not swag on the sidelines’ I’m all for it,” another fan said.

“Only thing they got out of it was staff turnover,” a fan tweeted.

It’s been a long time since the Hurricanes were considered a national title contender.
Perhaps we’ll see Miami get back to being a contender under Cristobal’s leadership.
