Allen was the No. 40 running back in the 2022 class, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. Originally a TCU commit, the Monroe (La.) native flipped to Nebraska on Signing Day.
As a freshman, Allen played in the first four games of the year before suffering a season-ending injury. He rushed for 190 yards and two touchdowns on 33 carries, including a career-high 76 yards against Georgia Southern.
Allen received a redshirt for the year and has four seasons of eligibility remaining.
He ultimately entered the NCAA transfer portal on April 30 and chose Miami after taking an official visit to campus over the weekend.
