Haley and Hanna Cavinder revealed Tuesday they will not use their final year of eligibility at Miami. Instead, they will start a new chapter in their lives.
“Thank you for an unforgettable season. The love and support we received from the university and the city was special. We’d like to thank our teammates and coaches for bringing us in as family and being a part of a historic season,” they wrote. “With that being said, Hanna and I have decided to not take our fifth year and start a new chapter in our lives. The U will always be home and we are forever proud to be Hurricanes.”
Shortly after making this announcement, the Cavinder twins shared photos from their basketball journey on Instagram.
These photos were accompanied by the following caption: “Thank you basketball.”

The Cavinders played at Fresno State from 2019-2022 before transferring to Miami.
In 2021, Haley was named the Mountain West Player of the Year. She proved that she could play in an even better conference by earning All-ACC honors this past season.
Hanna didn’t have as prominent of a role with the Hurricanes. However, she did average 15.7 points per game during her time with the Bulldogs.
