It sure seems like Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke has heard all of the transfer whispers.
A report from CaneSport’s Gary Ferman earlier today indicated Van Dyke was considering entering the portal because he was “frustrated” with his current NIL opportunities. Alabama is rumored to be interested in the 2021 ACC Rookie of the Year.
Tonight, Van Dyke retweeted a tweet from the official University of Miami football Twitter account which would appear to signal he intends to stay in Coral Gables.
The tweet featured a game photo of Van Dyke with the caption: “Relentlessly working. All focus on 2023. 100% CANE!”

After appearing in two games in 2020, Van Dyke exploded onto the scene in 2021. He threw for 2,931 yards, 25 touchdowns and only six interceptions as he established himself as the top rookie in the ACC.
Coming off that campaign, there were high expectations for Van Dyke in 2022. However, he was limited by injuries to only eight games, and his stats dipped to 1,835 passing yards, 10 touchdowns and five interceptions.
