Miami schedules future series versus a Group of Five opponent.

The Hurricanes will host the first of the two matchups at Hard Rock Stadium in 2026. BYU is the third non-conference opponent on Miami’s 2026 schedule.

The two teams will meet up in Provo for the second game in the home and home series in Provo, Utah in 2028.

The news came via reports by Stadium’s Brett McMurphy on Twitter on Thursday afternoon. The Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson has since confirmed the reports.

The 2026 game will take place on Sept. 19 and the 2028 matchup in Provo is set for Sept. 2, per Manny Navarro of The Athletic.

The Canes will host the Florida A&M Rattlers on Saturday, Sep. 12 at Hard Rock Stadium the same season.

Miami will be facing off against an SEC school in 2026. The Canes will travel to Williams-Brice Stadium to play the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Miami is currently scheduled to play in South Bend against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in 2028. The two sides haven’t competed since Miami’s dominant 41-8 win in 2017. This will be the second game of a home-and-home matchup in which Miami hosts in 2025. Miami will host an in state opponent in the USF Bulls in 2025 and 2028.
