The whiffs keep coming.

Another announcement, another whiff for Miami on Signing day. Tampa Bay (FL) Tech 5-star WR Dallas Wilson has spurned flip attempts from Miami and Florida to stick with his longtime commitment to the Oregon Ducks.

BREAKING: Five-Star WR Dallas Wilson will stick with his Commitment and sign with Oregon!

A dynamic 6’3” 200lb receiver, Wilson has the combination of size, speed and skill that Miami desperately needs at this position.

Wilson joins a long line of elite receiver prospects from the State of Florida to elect not to sign with the Hurricanes. He’s not from South Florida like the majority of the others, but that doesn’t mean this whiff has a lower impact on the Miami roster and recruiting efforts.

The news of Wilson sticking with Oregon came moments after Miami missed on another longtime flip target in Miami (FL) Booker T. Washington CB Ben Hanks Jr. Though Wilson didn’t join Hanks Jr. in Gainesville, he’s not coming to Coral Gables, and that stings for Miami.

This is also the second straight year that Miami has lost a WR recruiting battle to the Ducks, as their flip attempt on 5-star Jurrion Dickey fell short in the class of 2024 as well.

While there are several other targets on the board for Miami today, things are not starting well at all. We’ll continue to follow all the recruiting action as National Signing Day continues.
