This is a big game for Miami. Through the middling start, Manny Diaz has preached that “every goal this team has is in front of them.” Primary on that list is an ACC Coastal Division Championship. With a win, Miami gets started on the good foot. AND, for good measure, beating Virginia would drop the Cavs to 0-3 in the league, and all but eliminate them from title contention 3 games into the ACC season.
A loss for Miami, however, and the already-loud volume surrounding the program, along with the temperature on Manny Diaz’s coaching set will get turned up to levels previously unseen.
No pressure.
