The 2022 NFL Draft may have just ended, but Bill Belichick and the Patriots are already getting to the phones.
According to Boardroom’s Jordan Schultz, Miami Hurricanes do-it-all athlete D’Eriq King is reportedly headed to New England as an undrafted free agent.
“Miami Hurricanes QB/RB/WR – yes, that’s right! – D’Eriq King is signing with the Patriots,” Schultz tweeted.

King transferred to the Canes from Houston after a solid career with Dana Holgerson and the Cougars.
Given his athleticism, intelligence, willingness to sacrifice and overall gadget potential; it’s easy to see why a Belichick coached team would love to have a player like King on the Patriots roster.
The former Miami/Houston star has been linked to New England from the beginning of the draft process. And it looks like they got their man.
If King is able to make the Pats 53-man roster, look for the Patriots’ staff to place him all over the field. Or even as a Julian Edleman 2.0, if you will.
