Four ‘Canes are drafted, including Kamren Kinchens in round three of the 2024 NFL Draft.
The Miami Hurricanes had a disappointing draft weekend, but did see safety Kamren Kinchens drafted in the 3rd round. Kinchens, a junior out of Miami-Northwestern Senior High School in Miami, FL was selected by the Los Angeles Rams with the 99th overall selection.

Kinchens, a two-time All-American, finished his college career with 11 interceptions and 15 PBU’s from the free safety position. At five-foot-eleven, Kinchens is more of a centerfield safety than a roll into the box type.
The former three-star safety will join two Florida State draftees in Brandon Fiske and Jared Verse at Rams rookie mini-camps. Kinchens is set to haul in a $890,095 signing bonus off of a four-year NFL contract.
The three other ‘Canes that were selected in the NFL Draft all went in the 7th round. Defensive back Jaden Davis (Arizona Cardinals), center Matt Lee (Cincinnati Bengals) and safety James Williams (Tennessee Titans) got ‘the call’ from NFL GM’s. Guard Javion Cohen (Cleveland Browns) and defensive tackle Leonard Taylor (New York Jets) were picked up as UDFA’s.
Good luck to the newly minted Pro ‘Canes on their NFL careers.
