Dalvin Cook’s tenure with the Vikings came to an end Friday. The front office decided to release the four-time Pro Bowl running back.
The Vikings tried to trade Cook before outright releasing him. However, they couldn’t find a partner willing to take on his $10.4 million base salary for the 2023 season.
Fortunately for Cook, he won’t have a lack of suitors on the open market.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Broncos and Dolphins are expected to have interest in Cook now that he’s a free agent.
“The Miami Dolphins and Denver Broncos are two of the teams that are expected to have an interest in signing running back Dalvin Cook once he officially is released, per sources,” Schefter reported on Twitter. “There likely will be others, but those two have been monitoring Cook for weeks.”

Cook will turn 28 years old this August. Although he’s getting older, he still has plenty of gas left in the tank.
Last season, Cook had 1,173 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 264 carries. He also made an impact in the passing game hauling in 39 passes for 295 yards.
The Broncos and Dolphins have not yet scheduled free-agent visits with Cook.
