The Miami Dolphins complemented their seven-round draft class with an impressive group of UDFAs. The Dolphins have had success with UDFAs in the past. Last season, Storm Duck and Andrew Meyer both made the 53-man roster as undrafted free agents, with Duck seeing meaningful time throughout the season, including three starts. Here are three UDFA signings the Dolphins made this offseason who could potentially make the 53-man roster and develop into impactful players for the Dolphins.
Miami Dolphins UDFAs Who Could Make An Impact On The Team In 2025
TE Jalin Conyers, Texas Tech
Conyers has elite physical tools. He has the ideal size for the position, standing over 6-foot-3 and weighing 260 pounds, along with great arm length, and is an explosive athlete who recorded a 9.28 relative athletic score at the NFL Combine. Conyers is an athletic developmental tight end who offers alignment versatility and excels with the ball in his hands. He lined up all over the place for Texas Tech and Arizona State, even taking snaps as a wildcat quarterback.
Conyers has decent ball skills and contested catch ability, but where he truly stands out is after the catch, where he has the acceleration, vision, and elusiveness to pick up big yards after the catch. Conyers will need to improve as a blocker and become a more refined route runner, but the Dolphins currently lack great depth at tight end. He could make the team as a versatile high-upside third or fourth tight end on the roster.

WR Andrew Armstrong, Arkansas

Armstrong is a big receiver with impressive ball skills. He has strong and reliable hands, a big catch radius, and is a great contested catch receiver. Armstrong put up impressive numbers at Arkansas, hauling in 78 receptions and leading the SEC in receiving yards with 1,140 yards in 2024. His 89.4 PFF receiving grade ranks No. 3 in the 2025 wide receiver draft class. He displayed good speed, agility, and explosiveness for his size at the combine as well. Armstrong isn’t the most nuanced route runner, he doesn’t possess high-level separation skills, and he will turn 25 years old during his rookie season. However, his size, ball skills, contested catch ability, and the production he had versus high-level competition in college are promising. Armstrong has the talent to strongly compete for a WR4 or WR5 spot on the final 53-man roster.
LB Eugene Asante, Auburn
Asante is an undersized, but rangy and athletic linebacker. His size limits his block-shedding ability and upside as a run-stopper. He is also still developing as a processor. But his combination of athleticism and a relentless motor makes him a potentially exciting developmental depth linebacker. Asante’s special-teams ability is what could put him over the top and earn him a spot on the 53-man roster. Asante’s athleticism and relentless effort translate well to special teams, and he was a consistent contributor there during his college career, with 749 special-teams snaps in college. Asante has a shot to make the roster as a core special-teams contributor early in his career, with the potential to maybe earn more playing time as a linebacker later in his career.
