Prior to Week 16, longtime radio host Colin Cowherd predicted the Cowboys would dismantle the Dolphins. He even called Miami a “flashy” and “fake” playoff contender.
After the Dolphins proved Cowherd wrong, he refused to change his stance on Mike McDaniel’s squad.
“Twenty-three years is the last time you won a playoff game, 23 years of nothing remarkable,” Cowherd said. “This past weekend you didn’t win a Pulitzer, i.e. a Super Bowl. You didn’t even win an award, i.e. a playoff game. You beat a Dallas team that is talented but strangely bad on the road.
“Miami is constantly seeking validation and respect. ‘Let’s give us some credit, Colin.’ That’s Visa, MasterCard. That’s not my job to give you respect, it’s my job to be honest.”
Those comments from Cowherd didn’t sit well with Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who fired back at the FS1 personality on social media.
“What sport has this thug played again,” Hill wrote on X.

Cowherd responded to Hill calling him a “thug” on Thursday’s edition of his radio show.
“I tend to think they attack the messenger because my message hit a little too close to home,” Cowherd said. “Not sorry for not coronating you.”
The ball is now in Hill’s court.
