The Miami Dolphins announced the signing of Ben Stille to fill their roster.

The final day of the Miami Dolphins’ 2025 organized team activities (OTAs) portion of the offseason training program comes to a close on Thursday, but will include a new – but familiar – face. The Dolphins announced Thursday morning the signing of defensive tackle Ben Stille, a move that fills the roster vacancy that was created when offensive tackle Terron Armstead was placed on the retired list.

Stille originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Nebraska, signing with the Dolphins in 2022. He spent much of his rookie season on the team’s practice squad, but was elevated and saw playing time during the year. Late in the season, the Cleveland Browns poached Stille away from the Dolphins’ practice squad before waiving him in May 2023. He was claimed by the Arizona Cardinals, spending much of the 2023 season on their practice squad, appearing in five games that year.

In 2024, he began the season on the Cardinals’ practice squad before being poached by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers early in the season. Three weeks later, he was waived by Tampa Bay and re-signed to the Cardinals’ practice squad. Arizona waived him last month, making him a free agent.

For his career, he has appeared in 18 games, including one start, with 17 tackles, one pass defensed, one fumble recovery, and two sacks.

Stille joins a defensive line room that includes Zach Sieler, Benito Jones, Matt Dickerson, first-round draft pick Kenneth Grant, fifth-round draft pick Jordan Phillips, seventh-round pick Zeek Biggers, 2025 waiver claim Matthew Butler, and undrafted free agent Alex Huntley.

Following the end of Thursday’s OTA practice, the Dolphins will hold their mandatory minicamp June 10-12. They will then break for about six weeks until the start of training camp at the end of July.
