The Miami Dolphins and offensive lineman Jonah Savaiinaea agreed to terms on his rookie contract.

The Miami Dolphins will have all of their rookies on the practice field next week when their 2025 training camp opens. Second-round draft pick Jonah Savaiinaea agreed to terms with the team, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport. The contract will be a four-year, fully-guaranteed deal, with the guaranteed money the sticking point that prevented the deal from being signed earlier.

The NFL Players Association seems to be making a push this year to turn second-round draft pick contracts into fully guaranteed deals. Savaiinaea was selected with the 37th overall pick and joins, 34th overall pick, Houston Texans wide receiver Jayden Higgins, and 35th overall pick, Seattle Seahawks safety Nick Emmanwori, as second-round picks with a 100 percent guaranteed contract.

The Dolphins open training camp a week from Saturday and now have all their rookie draft picks under contract. Defensive tackle Kenneth Grant (first round, 13th overall), defensive tackle Jordan Phillips (fifth round, 143rd overall), cornerback Jason Marshall, Jr. (fifth round, 150th overall), safety Dante Trader, Jr. (fifth round, 155th overall), running back Ollie Gordon II (sixth round, 179th overall), quarterback Quinn Ewers (seventh round, 231st overall), and defensive tackle Zeek Biggers (seventh round, 253rd overall) have also signed their rookie contracts.

All rookie contracts are four-year deals, with a fifth-year team option included for players selected in the first round.

Miami will hold 11 practices open to the public this year during its training camp period. ALl the practices will be held at the team’s training facility adjacent to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
