The Miami Dolphins will not have a new starting quarterback for next season and in 2024.
The Dolphins have officially picked up the fifth-year option for Tua Tagovailoa, which means that they have confidence in him. He will be the starter for at least the next two seasons before he’s potentially extended.

There have been rumors that the Dolphins could go in a different direction at quarterback, but those have now been put to bed.
When healthy, Tagovailoa is a great quarterback. He finished the 2022 season with 3,548 yards and 25 touchdowns but did have to miss the final three games of the season with another concussion.
He suffered multiple concussions during this past season, the second of which took him over a month to not have any symptoms.
If he can avoid any concussions in 2023 and beyond, the Dolphins will be in great shape as they look to contend for a Super Bowl.
