The Miami Dolphins used their first two picks to select linebacker Channing Tindall in the third round and Erik Ezukanma in the fourth.
General manager Chris Grier opted to wait until their next pick in the seventh round to select California linebacker Cameron Goode. Goode met with the Dolphins during the pre-draft process.
The former Golden Bear played in 37 games over five seasons at California. He totaled 170 tackles (27.5 for a loss), 14 sacks, 12 passes defended, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
During his time in college, Goode, who measures in at 6-foot-3 and 240 pounds, showed off his athleticism and high motor. Those are traits that Miami covets at this point.
