Washington wide receiver Jalen McMillan visited the Miami Dolphins ahead of the 2024 NFL draft, according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.
McMillan measured in at 6’1, 197 pounds at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine where he ran a 4.47 40-yard dash and recorded a 127-inch broad jump. As part of a Huskies offense loaded with talent, McMillan did much of his work out of the slot and finished his collegiate career with 2,119 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns.
The Dolphins already have a stellar duo of receivers in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, who have combined for 5,879 yards in the last two seasons. The team has struggled to find a third option to threaten opposing defenses, though. The third leading receiver for the Dolphins during the 2023 season was tight end Durham Smythe with just 366 yards.
Miami has entertained the idea of adding veteran Odell Beckham Jr. to the mix, although Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said “there’s nothing in the works to get anything done.” The team has also been rumored to have interest in former Bengals receiver Tyler Boyd.
McMillan landed in the second round at No. 51 overall in a recent mock draft put together by ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. and Field Yates.
