Veteran offensive lineman Daniel Brunskill signs with Dolphins while Darren Waller and Liam Eichenberg are placed on PUP list.

The Miami Dolphins welcomed veteran players to the first day of the team’s training camp today, and while no on-field work was done, the team was busy making moves behind the scenes.

On Tuesday, renowned NFL insider, Adam Schefter, announced that the Dolphins had signed veteran offensive lineman Daniel Brunskill — most recently a center with the Tennessee Titans. Brunksill has spent six seasons in the National Football League — playing four for the San Francisco 49ers before playing two in Tennessee. The versatile lineman has played tackle, guard and center during his time in the league.

To make room for Brunskill, the Dolphins cut quarterback Brett Gabbert.

Dolphins have signed OL Daniel Brunskill and waived QB Brett Gabbert.

They also placed OL Liam Eichenberg and TE Darren Waller on the physically unable to perform list and S Ifeatu Melifonwu on the non-football injury list.

The team also placed two players on the physically unable to perform list — offensive lineman Liam Eichenberg and newly acquired tight end Darren Waller. Each player is eligible to return to action once the team deems them ready — and Waller has already stated that he will be eased back into action after missing a season of play-time before recently coming out of retirement.

Safety Ifeatu Melinfonwu was placed on the non-football injury list, although no specific injury has been reported at the time of this writing.

The Dolphins will take the field for their first team practice of training camp tomorrow and we will keep our readers informed of all pertinent information.
