The Miami Dolphins are hosting free agent tight end Noah Fant, according to a report.

The Miami Dolphins are not done retooling their roster, even as their 2025 training camp enters its second week. According to a report from Jordan Schultz, the Dolphins are hosting free agent tight end Noah Fant on Monday. The Dolphins traded away 2024 starting tight end Jonnu Smith, who was selected to the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career after the season, and added tight end Darren Waller in a trade from the New York Giants this offseason.

Entering his seventh year in the NFL, Fant was a first-round draft pick by the Denver Broncos in 2019. He was traded to the Seattle Seahawks in 2022, playing three years there before being released last week. He has already visited with the Cincinnati Bengals and New Orleans Saints since being released.

Miami’s current tight end depth chart includes presumed starter Waller, followed by Pharaoh Brown, Tanner Conner, Julian Hill, Hayden Rucci, and undrafted rookie Jalin Conyers.

The Dolphins returned to the team’s training facilities and practice fields on Monday after a day off on Sunday. Miami opened around $11 million in salary cap space over the weekend by reacting a contract restructure agreement with safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.
