Miami Dolphins rookie running back De’Von Achane has been a revelation through his first four games.
Unfortunately, Achane is now set to be sidelined for Miami’s next four games, and perhaps longer, after injuring his knee in Sunday’s 31-16 win over the New York Giants.
Achane is being placed in injured reserve, according to multiple reports. That knocks him out of the Dolphins’ upcoming matchups against the Carolina Panthers, Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs.
The earliest the speedy back will be able to return is Week 11 against the Las Vegas Raiders.

After missing Week 1 due to an injury, Achane touched the ball only twice in Miami’s Week 2 win at New England. However, he exploded in Week 3, rushing for 203 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries and catching four passes for 30 yards and two scores in the Dolphins’ 70-20 thrashing of Denver.
Achane added 101 yards rushing and two more touchdowns on eight carries in a Week 4 loss to Buffalo and 151 yards and a touchdown on the ground against the Giants before getting hurt. The Texas A&M product is averaging an absurd 12.1 yards per carry on his first 38 rushing attempts.
With Achane out of action, Raheem Mostert will continue to be Miami’s top back, with help from Chris Brooks, Salvon Ahmed and eventually Jeff Wilson Jr.
