Hardly a week goes by these days without some new rumor of how the Miami Dolphins almost got Tom Brady pops up. But the latest rumor of the Dolphins’ failed pursuit of Brady is inspiring a shared reaction.
NBC Sports NFL analyst Chris Simms reported over the weekend that the Miami Dolphins were ready to trade a second-round pick to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to bring him into the fold. They were saving their first-round pick to trade to the New Orleans Saints for head coach Sean Payton.
NFL fans have found this alleged trade offer ludicrous. While some express skepticism that the Dolphins even made the offer, even more are joking at the idea of the Buccaneers accepting it.
Imagine thinking a 2nd round pick for Brady was getting this done. https://t.co/fxT9xQmIT4

It’s entirely possible that the Dolphins may have wanted to offer a 2nd-round pick to the Bucs for Tom Brady.
It’s absolutely hilarious to think that the Bucs would have accepted that offer.

Anybody who thinks the Bucs would of traded Brady for 1 2nd round pick is delusional

All kinds of rumors and reports have come out over the past few weeks of what the Miami Dolphins were willing to do to get Tom Brady. Ultimately, it didn’t matter.
Brady returned from his brief retirement in March to rejoin the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Whether this really is his last ride in the NFL remains to be seen.
It’s also possible that Brady joins the Dolphins eventually anyway. The Buccaneers can always trade Brady next year depending on the outcome of the season.
Chances are, we haven’t heard the last of these “Brady to Miami” rumors that have been popping up constantly.
Will Tom Brady ever play for the Dolphins?
