
On Tuesday, it was announced that former NFL tight end/offensive tackle Ronnie Lee passed away. He was 66 years old.
Lee was selected in the third round of the 1979 NFL Draft. The Baylor product started his pro career as a tight end for the Dolphins.
In 1983, Lee signed with the Falcons and switched over to offensive tackle. The following year, he returned to the Dolphins.
Lee’s second stint with the Dolphins lasted for six seasons. He started 62 games at offensive tackle during that stretch.
Before Lee’s time in the NFL came to an end, he spent three seasons on the Seahawks. He finished his career with 25 receptions for 167 yards and three touchdowns.

The Dolphins released a statement on Lee’s passing.
“We are saddened by the passing of former Miami Dolphins player Ronnie Lee,” the team said in a statement. “Our hearts go out to his family and friends.”
