Is Chop Robinson of the Miami Dolphins already one of the most feared pass rushers in NFL?

Terron Armstead thinks Chop Robinson can lead NFL in sacks — names the young player the fourth best pass rusher in the NFL.

Former Miami Dolphins left tackle Terron Armstead has been making the rounds in NFL media circles following his recent retirement annoucement. Today’s stop saw the former All-Pro at Good Morning Football — the NFL Network’s flagship morning program.

While discussing the NFL’s best pass rushers, Armstead had high praise for Miami’s second-year EDGE rusher, Chop Robinson — a player the recently retired lineman named the fourth best pass rusher in the league already.

“Chop [is] Von Miller-esque… He has that. He started off the year slow… the second-half of the season, Chop was arguably the best pass rusher in the league,” said Armstead.

He continued: “His get-off is elite. His ability to bend is elite. He’s learning more about the game. He’s getting more cerebral… He’s blazing coming out the gate this year. He gets Bradley Chubb and Jaelan Phillips out there with him so it can take some of that tension off of him — he’ll get more 1-on-1 opportunities. I can see him leading the league in sacks.”

During Miami’s first seven games of the 2025 NFL season, Robinson did not record a sack. His first sack came on November 3rd during a last second loss to the Buffalo Bills, and after that, he was virtually unstoppable — registering 6 sacks during Miami’s final 10 games. If you extrapolate that production for a full 17 game season, Robinson would be on pace to tally 10+ sacks on the year, a benchmark number for all pass rushers.

Time will tell if Armstead’s prediction of Robinson eventually leading the league in sacks comes true, but even after playing just one season in the NFL, it is clear that the former Penn State product has caught the attention of the best pass protectors around the league.
