Jalen Ramsey’s knee injury opened the door for the Dolphins to add free agent cornerback Eli Apple, who has a long history with Miami’s star receiver Tyreek Hill.
In reaction to the news of Apple’s signing, Hill said: “Monday practice gone be fun.” Something that Ramsey got a kick out of on social media.

Apple spent the last two seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals where he and Hill had their battles in both Chiefs red and Dolphins teal. Last year, the seven-time Pro Bowler called out Apple. Telling reporters, “I can’t wait to go against Eli Apple. I owe you, boy. I owe you. I’m here, the Cheetah is here.”
The beef dates back to 2022’s AFC Championship Game where the Bengals were able to stop Hill on the one-yard line going into the half and eventually win.Â
After the game, Apple took to the app formerly known as Twitter and said: “Oh yea that Chiefs Cheetah pack finna hit way crazier the 2nd time.” Adding, “he’s a baby!” in reference to Hill.
