Jalen Ramsey underwent meniscus surgery on Friday to repair the left knee injury he suffered during yesterday’s training camp practice.
The Miami Dolphins star is out of surgery and recently shared an update for his fans on social media.
“Surgery went well To my teammates & fans, thank you for the prayers and support!! I promise I will attack this rehab and be back stronger than ever… this will just part of the greater story down the stretch! Adversity is opportunity! God is so great! FIN5 UP!” Ramsey wrote.

The Dolphins sent a 2023 third-round pick (No. 77 overall) and tight end Hunter Long to Los Angeles to acquire Ramsey in a trade earlier this offseason. With this move, the Miami organization constructed one of the best secondaries in the league — pairing Ramsey opposite of Pro-Bowl cornerback Xavien Howard.
But, the debut of that star duo is going to have to wait. Head coach Mike McDaniel said the team expects to be without Ramsey for at least the next few months.
“The length of this rehabilitation is kind of dictated on a couple things that could occur in the surgery,” McDaniel said earlier this morning. “So the exact timeline is a little too big to be determined. What I can tell you is I don’t think the beginning of the regular season is really part of the scenario. It’s going to be into the season, and how deep that is depends on what happens today.”
