The Jalen Ramsey sweepstakes came to an end on Sunday.
Ramsey, who had been the subject of numerous trade rumors over the last several weeks, was traded from the Los Angeles Rams to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
Before that trade was agreed to though, other teams had serious interest in him, including the Detroit Lions. Per Jordan Schultz, Ramsey ended up picking the Dolphins over the Lions since they were the better fit for him.
Ramsey will now join a Dolphins team that is ready for bigger and better things next season. He’ll be replacing Byron Jones, who the Dolphins will be releasing once free agency opens.
The Dolphins only had to give up a third-round pick and tight end Hunter Jones for Ramsey’s services.
It’s a move that’s a slam dunk for them, especially since they’re trying to contend for an AFC East title and a Super Bowl next season.
