Since the Miami Dolphins hired Mike McDaniel to be the next head coach of their organization, they’ve done their best to put an emphasis on speed.
They already had wide receiver Jaylen Waddle on the roster, who’s one of the fastest players in the game, but then they traded for Tyreek Hill for the Kansas City Chiefs and signed Raheem Mostert and Chase Edmonds, two backs that are known for their burst.
A race between the Hill and Waddle was brought up almost immediately after the trade was made, and both players stated their desire for it to take place.
On Wednesday, Waddle met with the media and offered a wise line about the coming challenge of racing the veteran wideout.
“You just can’t race a cheetah straight up,” Waddle said. “You’ve got to sneak up on ’em.”
Everyone’s waiting for this race to happen, but it wouldn’t be surprising to find out that we have to wait until training camp to see it actually take place.
