Jalen Ramsey is already joking around with one of his new teammates.
Ramsey was traded from the Los Angeles Rams to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday for a third-round pick and Hunter Long as the Dolphins are ready to take that next step in 2023.
After the trade was agreed to, Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill tweeted Ramsey and joked that he doesn’t want to see him be hit hard by Ramsey like he was in the Pro Bowl.
“if you hit me like you did in that flag game we fighting,” Hill wrote.
Ramsey then responded and apologized for it while also saying it was not going to happen again.
“My apologies, I had to take my last opportunity then & there … won’t happen again lol,” Ramsey replied.
If this back-and-forth is any indication, these two are going to have a blast being teammates for this season and beyond.
Even though Ramsey is a bit older now, he can still bring it on the field.
He finished the 2022 season with 88 total tackles (64 solo), two sacks, four interceptions, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and 18 passes defended. That came after he helped the Rams win the Super Bowl during the 2021-22 season.
The trade will officially be announced this week when the new league year begins.
