There’s a wild rumor going around regarding Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel and general manager Chris Grier.
According to Armando Salguero of Outkick, McDaniel and Grier’s jobs could be at risk if the Dolphins lose to the New York Jets and miss the playoffs on Sunday. Defensive coordinator Josh Boyers would also be on the hot seat, per this report.
This would shake things up in a big way for that organization after the Dolphins came into this season with playoff expectations. They also went 8-3 in their first 11 games before losing their next five games.
The NFL community thinks the Dolphins would be foolish to do something like this.
“If McDaniel were fired, he’d be unemployed for all of 10 minutes. Teams like Houston and Denver would be pushing people down to get to him first,” one fan tweeted.
“The #Dolphins are completely out of their minds if they fire McDaniel,” another tweet read.
Sunday can’t come soon enough for the Dolphins as they try and stay alive in the playoff race.
