Look: Tua Tagovailoa Appears To Have Put On Some Weight This Offseason

Tua Tagovailoa appears to have tacked on some weight ahead of the upcoming 2023 season.

A photo of the Miami Dolphins quarterback at practice on Wednesday is going viral on social media.

Take a look at the picture here:

Tua is listed at 6-foot-1, 217 lbs on the Dolphins website. But compared to his look from the 2022 season, it certainly seems that the 25-year-old quarterback has added some extra muscle mass.

Tagovailoa is on the smaller side for NFL quarterbacks, so this extra weight could be a good thing when it comes to preventing injuries. The former first-round pick suffered multiple concussions during the 2022 season after taking some big hits. In addition to adding some muscle mass, he’s also been training judo to improve his falling technique.

Tua and the Dolphins will kickoff their 2023 regular season with a Week 1 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium.
