Look: Tua Tagovailoa’s New Appearance Is Going Viral Today

Tua Tagovailoa hosted a Luau fundraiser Monday night. His first public appearance of the offseason revealed a new look.

The Miami Dolphins quarterback rocked a mustache at his foundation’s event at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Here’s a look at the bold choice:

Tagovailoa said he’s not a fan of the upper-lip hair, but the one person who counts wants him to keep it.

“The mustache is new,” he said, per Hal Habib of The Palm Beach Post. “I don’t necessarily like the mustache. My wife likes my mustache. So that’s why I left the mustache. I was gonna go to cut it all off.”

Even if he wants to shave, Tagovailoa was nevertheless in a good mood Monday. The 25-year-old said he’s “smiling a lot more” than last year and “very excited” to get ready for the 2023 season.

Tagovailoa suffered two known concussions during an otherwise superb third year. The second reported head injury ended his season early, leaving him a spectator in the postseason.

Miami nevertheless exercised its fifth-year option on Tagovailoa, who said he feels “great.”
