Madden 25 will implement the Miami Dolphins’ motion-heavy offense; will Tua Tagovailoa be a Top-10 Quarterback?

Miami Dolphins fans should be happy with some of the changes coming to Madden 2025. #GoFins

Over the last few days, news has started to pour in regarding EA Sports’ latest NFL video game, Madden 2025.

First, we learned that San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey would be this year’s cover athlete, despite my small pitch for it to be Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill. However, if anyone in the NFL deserved to be the poster boy of this year’s game, it’s CMC after his career-best 1,459 yards on the ground.

He also added 67 receptions for 564 yards and seven touchdowns — bringing his yearly total to 21 touchdowns. So, I’d say CMC deserved it, but let’s be honest, the cover really doesn’t matter.

What matters to most gamers is what new features EA will be adding this year, and if you’re a Dolphins fan, you’ll be happy to know that you’ll be able to fully implement McDaniel’s motion-heavy style of offense in Madden ‘25.

This year’s Madden should see many new changes, including three different groups of commentators, new visuals, BOOM tech technology, new animations, and much more. But what stood out was the emphasis on new playbooks, with an example of Miami’s offense. Click HERE to check out all the latest changes in this year’s game.

In addition to the recent news surrounding some of Madden ‘25’s newest features, EA started to send out invites to this year’s Beta, which allows gamers to get their first taste of this year’s game and give their feedback to improve the release.

Unfortunately, I haven’t received an invite yet, but some lucky gamers have. And despite a very strict no-share policy, we’ve seen plenty of screenshots and ratings leaked over the last 24 hours. The most popular were the ratings of the Top-10 quarterbacks in this year’s game, which had many wondering what Tua Tagovailoa’s ratings would be.

This has not been confirmed and likely won’t be until the game releases — but according to several who have played the game, Tua is the sixth-highest-rated quarterback in Madden ‘25 with an 88 overall.

Here are the top QB ratings in Madden 25:

1. Patrick Mahomes: 99
2. Lamar Jackson: 98
3. Joe Burrow: 93
4. Josh Allen: 92
5. Dak Prescott: 90
6. Tua Tagovailoa: 88
7. Jalen Hurts: 87
8. Justin Herbert: 87
9. Brock Purdy: 85
10. Kirk Cousins: 84

Yes, the ratings could be false, but that’s okay. The most exciting takeaway from Madden’s recent announcement is the addition of Miami’s playbook and all the unique features that may come with that.

Madden may not have been worth the price over the last few years, and there’s no guarantee that will change this year. But as a diehard Miami Dolphins fan, I can’t wait to get my grubby paws on Madden’25 — and all the new features that come with my favorite team.

What are your thoughts on Madden’25’s cover athlete, Christian McCaffrey? Are you excited about the changes made to the Miami Dolphins and other teams around the league? Do you believe Tua is the sixth-best QB in football? Will you be buying Madden? Let us know in the comments section below!
