The New York Jets opened up their season with a bad 27-17 loss to the Bills. The score made it seem closer than it was and fans are starting to grow very tired of Head Coach Adam Gase. New York Daily News Jets Columnist Manish Mehta joined The Joe Rose Show this morning and had some more harsh criticism of the former Dolphin Head Coach. Mehta said, “After the game, Adam Gase said look guys were open and we didn’t make the throws or guys were open and we dropped the ball so in effect threw his QB and receivers under the bus as he typically does, he didn’t take responsibility Sunday after the game or yesterday and I think that’s probably at the root of the problem.”
“Manish went on to blast the fact that Gase isn’t growing saying “you would think a guy can learn and grow from his mistakes as a first time head coach but I’ve seen none of that…this is a guy whos rigid and set in his ways, he’s a fast talker, he’s a good salesman, that’s obviously how he got the job the second time around…there’s a difference between talking about coaching and actually producing as a head coach and the results are pretty evident, he’s a poor head coach. He talks a good game and he rarely backs it up.
Yikes! Looking like another long year in New York!
