The Miami Dolphins are reportedly zeroing in on their next head coach.
According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, there are two remaining finalists for the head coaching vacancy: 49ers offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel and Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore. Each of these options will be coming in to meet with the franchise next week.
Brian Daboll was a finalist before he was hired by the New York Giants on Friday.

From the looks of their finalist list, it’s clear the Dolphins are looking to hire an offensive-minded coach to help get the best out of 23-year-old quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
Mike McDaniel has 15 years of assistant coaching experience in the NFL, but this past season was his first year at the offensive coordinator position. Despite his lack of coordinator experience, the 38-year-old coach’s bright football mind has him in consideration for multiple head coaching jobs in this year’s cycle.
Kellen Moore, 33, is another name often mentioned on candidate lists this year. In his third year as the Cowboys’ OC, the up-and-coming coach led his Dallas offense to a No. 1 ranking in the league with 407.0 yards and 31.2 points per game.
Brian Flores, the head coach Miami fired a few weeks back, is still on the hunt for his next job.
