Kader Kohou suffered a partially torn ACL during Miami Dolphins training camp.

The injury bug continues to bite the Miami Dolphins secondary. On Wednesday, head coach Mike McDaniel announced to the South Florida media that starting cornerback Kader Kohou partially tore his ACL last Saturday during practice and as a result will miss the entire 2025 season.

The Kohou news follows the recent announcement of fellow cornerback Artie Burns missing the year with an ACL tear of his own, plus a lower body injury for safety Ashtyn Davis that will sideline him for several weeks. Oh, and did I mention that safety Ifeatu Melifonwu has been nursing an ailment of his own that has kept the player from practicing during the entirety of training camp?

The Dolphins signed a couple of veteran cornerbacks to fill the voids left by the multitude of injuries — Jack Jones (formerly of the Las Vegas Raiders) and Mike Hilton (formerly of the Cincinnati Bengals) — and they’ll need those signings to pay off in a big way as almost all of the team’s secondary will be made up of different players than it was last season.

Free agent cornerback Rasul Douglas — a player the Dolphins have shown interest in during the offseason — remains unsigned and could be an option for Miami if the club chooses to go outside of the organization to fill the hole in the roster left by the Kohou injury.
