Foley and Ginn were both members of the Dolphins’ 1970 draft class, the former in the third round out of Purdue and the latter in the ninth out of Florida A&M.
Ginn played nine NFL seasons with the Dolphins, Colts and Raiders, winning a Super Bowl ring with Miami in 1972 and one with Oakland in 1976. In his career, he rushed for 521 yards and three touchdowns on 132 carries while also occasionally returning kicks and punts.
Foley spent all 11 pro seasons with the Dolphins, winning two Super Bowls and making the Pro Bowl in 1979. He intercepted 22 passes in 134 career games.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of both men.
