Miami Dolphins center Connor Williams did not attend Tuesday’s mandatory minicamp practice.
Per team reporter Omar Kelly, head coach Mike McDaniel confirmed that Williams’ absence was unexcused. He declined to go into detail but said they have spoken to the 26-year-old.
Connor Williams won’t be at camp.
McDaniel said he won’t discuss it because business is kept in house.
“It is not excused. We have been in communication.”

After four seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, Williams joined the Dolphins on a two-year, $14 million deal last offseason. He moved from left guard to center and started all 17 games for Miami’s sixth-ranked offense and its first-round playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Williams made a strong case for a raise, and Miami can ill-afford to lose a pivotal member of an offensive line tasked with protecting Tua Tagovailoa. The unit’s success is especially vital after the quarterback sustained two reported concussions last season, placing severe concern for his health.
Miami could fine Williams approximately $15,000 for missing Tuesday’s session and around $90-95 million if he skips all three mandatory minicamps this week.
