During the Dolphins’ playoff game against the Bills this year, NFL fans were convinced they caught Mike McDaniel vaping on the sidelines.
McDaniel was asked about this incident during an appearance on Barstool Sports’ “Pardon My Take” podcast.
Even though McDaniel didn’t have a straightforward answer as to whether or not he was actually vaping, he revealed that he’s never doing it again.
“Vaping? Like water vape? Hmm. What a confusing question. I don’t know this technology you speak of,” McDaniel said. “Having said that, I will leave you with this. In past lives, I have vaped. Regardless, just the idea of that being something that people are talking about after a playoff game is annoying enough to provoke me to never do it again, and I’ve since quit, classic McDaniel style, cold turkey, just like alcohol.”

After somewhat admitting to vaping, McDaniel said, “I just don’t totally know what you guys are talking about.”
Coy comments like this are why Dolphins fans love McDaniel.
McDaniel finished his first season as the head coach of the Dolphins with a 9-8 record. He’ll try to be even better this fall.
