On Thursday, Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey was carted off the practice field with an apparent knee injury.
Before today’s practice session, head coach Mike McDaniel provided an update on his superstar defensive back.
Ramsey is set to undergo meniscus surgery on his left knee later this afternoon. The length of his recovery time is still undetermined, but he’s not expected to be ready for the start of the 2023 regular season.

While it’s unfortunate that Ramsey will likely miss some time at the start of his first season in South Beach, it seems as though this injury isn’t anything season ending.
“I’ll be back on that field stronger than ever… in due time! This SO minor for God’s child! I trust fully & know He got me! Im forever grateful to worship His name! I know my brothers gone hold it down until I’m back tho! Appreciate the love & support! Time to get right!” Ramsey wrote in a tweet on Thursday.

The Dolphins traded a third-round pick and tight end Hunter Long for Ramsey earlier this offseason, pairing him alongside Pro-Bowl corner Xavien Howard. Unfortunately, it appears that new duo won’t be debuted until later in the 2023 season.
