On Wednesday, the Miami Dolphins announced the deaths of former cornerback Tim Foley and running back Hubert Ginn. They were members of the undefeated 1972 team.
Foley, a former third-round pick, spent 11 seasons with the Dolphins. From an individual standpoint, he had 22 interceptions in 134 games. We’d have to imagine that winning two Super Bowl titles was the highlight of his career.
Ginn, on the other hand, played for the Dolphins, Colts and Raiders. The two-time Super Bowl champion finished his NFL career with 521 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 132 carries.
Dolphins fans are understandably saddened by the deaths of Foley and Ginn.
Rest in peace 💔 https://t.co/Zo3I1fRC4p
