The Miami Dolphins are reportedly adding some depth to their offensive line.
Per multiple reports, they’re set to sign offensive tackle Isaiah Wynn to a one-year deal.
Sources: Former #Patriots first-round OT Isaiah Wynn is signing a 1-year deal with the #Dolphins, adding kept depth and competition on their O-line. Wynn has bided his time, making sure the opportunity is right for a reboot. Now, he lands in Miami. pic.twitter.com/6Frze9yYkr

This comes after Wynn spent the previous five seasons with the New England Patriots.
The NFL community likes this move since it will also bring some competition to the room.
“Dolphins sign some starting RT competition for Austin Jackson and overall OL depth in Isaiah Wynn. Addition to arguably their biggest question/need,” one tweet read.

Career grades for Isaiah Wynn:
2019 – 69.9
2020 – 82.6
2021 – 74.9
2022 – 54.6The former first-round pick is still just 26 years old. You can certainly do a lot worse than this at a position of need in the middle of May…

“Isaiah Wynn is better than two starting OL on the #Dolphins roster right now. There’s no reason he shouldn’t start Week 1 if healthy,” another tweet read.

New Dolphins RT Isaiah Wynn – like Austin Jackson – is former 1st rounder who has had back luck with injuries. Torn Achilles, toe injury, knee injury and (last year) foot injury caused Wynn to miss significant time. Hope is that one of the two (Wynn or Jackson) will stay healthy

In 2021, Austin Jackson allowed 3 pressures per game. Last year was Isaiah Wynn’s worst season, and he only allowed 1.88
Progress!

Isaiah Wynn is an elite RT. Great signing by Miami. I LOVE IT. The Dolphins now have the best OL room, RB room, CB room, WR room, S room, DL room, and the best QB in the NFL 👏

The Dolphins will hope that Wynn can stay healthy, which is something he has struggled to do during his career. He’s missed a handful of games, including his entire rookie season in 2018.
