NFL World Reacts To Latest Tua Tagovailoa News

October 3, 2021 by The Spun

Tua Tagovailoa looks to pass for the Dolphins.

The Miami Dolphins are reportedly going to be without starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa for at least another couple of weeks.

According to a report from ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Dolphins young quarterback is not expected to return until at least Sunday, Oct. 17.

Tagovailoa suffered a rib injury last month. He suffered a fracture against the Buffalo Bills on Sept. 19. Tagovailoa has since been replaced by veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett.

From ESPN.com:

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will miss the next two games while he is on injured reserve, but he is expected to be ready to return Oct. 17 against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, a source told ESPN.

While Tagovailoa is out, Jacoby Brissett will continue to start for Miami, including Sunday against his former Indianapolis Colts team.

Tagovailoa fractured his ribs Sept. 19 at home against Buffalo, and when he did, it was considered a roughly three-week injury.

Dolphins fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news.

“Even though they lost, it was blatantly obvious Brissett is a better qb. Tua is turning into the bust many people predicted he would be,” one fan tweeted.

“Dolphins don’t worry at all. Not a starter material, backup to Brissett. Why are there so many overrated QBs in first round, even No. 1 or No. 2? In my memory, can’t find a No.1 or No. 2 pick QB won a SB in past 10 years, am I wrong?” another fan added.

“They’ll be front runners for Watson,” one fan suggested.

It wouldn’t be surprising if the Deshaun Watson trade rumors heat up, especially if Tagovailoa is out for longer than expected.
