A major NFL analyst is calling on the NFL to investigate the Miami Dolphins for potential tampering with Tom Brady.
Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk believes the NFL should look into the relationship between Brady and the Dolphins. That relationship reportedly formed earlier this offseason.
Miami reportedly wanted Brady. The organization also wanted Sean Payton. Before the Super Bowl, Brady was reportedly going to become a minority owner of the Dolphins. That would have eventually opened the door to the AFC East franchise later acquiring Brady as a player. However, the plans were scrapped when Brian Flores filed a class-action lawsuit against the NFL organization.
Florio believes the NFL should absolutely look into potential tampering by the Dolphins regarding Brady. But, as he points out, the league will never do it.
“The easy answer is absolutely yes. Many believe that Brady is the unnamed quarterback in the Flores lawsuit with whom owner Stephen Ross wanted Flores to tamper in 2020,” he said, via Pro Football Talk. “If the Dolphins had a plan that started with Brady becoming a post-retirement minority owner and ended with Brady coming out of retirement to play for the team, there surely were one or more impermissible communications between the Dolphins and/or Brady and/or his agent, Don Yee (who also represents Payton).”
Should the NFL investigate whether the Dolphins tampered with Tom Brady in 2022? Hell yes. Will it? Hell no. https://t.co/sA6fBgisen

Tampering in the NFL? Color us shocked.
Dolphins fans aren’t exactly happy with Florio’s reporting as of late.
this man WILL NOT STOP slandering the Dolphins. I need to know what they did to him for him to be this obsessed. https://t.co/HLmFUo50xJ

The NFL could start and finish a tampering investigation in a week. This isn’t a matter of effort.
The league has yet to discover a way to properly enforce its tampering policy. And it’s not going to start by investigating the face of the league and potential conversations he may have had with the Miami Dolphins.
