Ian Rapoport confirms Jalen Ramsey will skip Dolphins minicamp while awaiting trade.
The Miami Dolphins will partake in mandatory minicamp this week in Miami Gardens, Florida, but one prominent member of the roster will reportedly be absent — starting cornerback Jalen Ramsey.
On Sunday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network confirmed what many already assumed — Ramsey, amid ongoing trade talks with other clubs, will not attend Miami Dolphins minicamp while he awaits his upcoming move.

Both the Dolphins and Ramsey are in agreement that a trade needs to get done, yet with the veteran on the market since before the 2025 NFL Draft, no deal has yet been struck. Part of that is because of the cap ramifications if the Dolphins had traded the star cornerback before June 1st, but with the second week of June starting, Miami’s general manager Chris Grier is clearly not willing to part with Ramsey for peanuts and is shopping for the best deal available — even if that means paying a portion of the 30-year-old’s salary to facilitate the move.
Ramsey will be subject to fines for missing Miami’s minicamp — which will take place from June 10th through June 12th — which, according to Spotrac, will cost the veteran a maximum of $17,462 for the first day absent, $34,925 for the second and $52,381 for missing the third and final day.
