Robert Griffin III: Chiefs Would Be Undefeated With Tyreek Hill

There’s little denying that wide receiver has been the greatest weakness for the Kansas City Chiefs this year. For Robert Griffin III, the difference between this year and the last few has boiled down to one player: wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

Appearing on Get Up, the ESPN analyst made the case that the Chiefs might be undefeated if they hadn’t let Hill walk in free agency two years ago. He believes that Mahomes now recognizes that his wide receivers keep letting him down.

“The real reason Patrick Mahomes went off is because his WR room has let him down time and time again this year. I’m convinced the Chiefs would be undefeated if Tyreek Hill was still in Kansas City. Instead they have a Top 5 defense and inconsistent WR play. WRs have to step up,” Griffin posted later.

Meanwhile, Hill is on pace to shatter the NFL single season receiving yards record. He will most likely be the NFL’s Offensive Player of the Year and could even earn MVP votes depending on how the season finishes.

The Kansas City Chiefs should still make the playoffs and could even wind up making a deep run. But if they do it will be in a way that didn’t get them there these past few years.

Do the Chiefs already regret letting Hill go?
