ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith unleashed an awful take about Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa this Tuesday on “First Take.”
Smith argued that Tagovailoa isn’t the clear-cut MVP this season because Tyreek Hill apparently does the majority of the work for the Dolphins’ offense.
“I don’t know if y’all watching Miami enough,” Smith said. “All of these passes ain’t for 19, 20, 30, 40 yards. You just got Tua dipping it two yards to him [Tyreek Hill] and he’s the one taking it to the house.”
Clearly, Smith is the one who’s not watching the Dolphins this season. There have been plenty of plays where Tagovailoa connected on a deep pass to Hill.
In fact, ESPN showed a few deep passes from Tagovailoa while Smith was dissing him.

This isn’t the first time Smith shared an embarrassingly bad take on national television. It probably won’t be the last either.
Tagovailoa will get to showcase his skills this Sunday night when the Dolphins face the Eagles on NBC.
