At ESPN Analytics, an “NFL Draft Day Predictor” model was created that factors expert mock drafts, team needs, scouts, and grades to forecast the likelihood that a player will be available to take with a certain pick in the first round. It also predicts which of those available players are likeliest to get picked at that spot.
For the Dolphins, the model came up with a few relatively surprising options for the team. Here are the 10 players who were given the highest chance at being the team’s No. 21 overall pick next week:
