Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered multiple concussions this season, leading to some concerns about his future in the NFL.
During an appearance on Up & Adams this Friday afternoon, Tagovailoa revealed that he’s implementing a new plan this offseason that includes him partaking in judo.
The hope is that judo will help Tagovailoa change the way he falls.
“We got like a plan set up. I’ll be doing judo on Fridays just so that I can kind of figure out; you know, understanding my body and how to fall,” Tagovailoa said. “I’m not trying to be a dangerous person. I’m just trying to help myself.”
Tagovailoa was officially cleared from concussion protocol earlier this month.
When healthy, Tagovailoa is an efficient quarterback. He completed 64.8 percent of his passes for 3,548 yards with 25 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
It’s imperative that Tagovailoa avoids any major blows to his head/neck area next season.
