Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill woke up to some unfortunate news this Friday morning.
Mike Gesicki is reportedly leaving the Dolphins to sign a one-year contract with the Patriots. He can earn up to $9 million in 2023.
As you’d expect, Hill is not thrilled about Gesicki leaving Miami to join a divisional rival.
Hill tweeted out an annoyed emoji when he found out that Gesicki is heading to New England for the 2023 season.

Gesicki just wrapped up an underwhelming season with the Dolphins, hauling in 32 passes for 362 yards and five touchdowns. He just didn’t seem like the best fit for Mike McDaniel’s system.
In 2021, however, Gesicki had 73 catches for 780 yards and two touchdowns.
The Patriots most likely signed Gesicki with the intent of making him one of their featured weapons in the passing game this fall. After all, run blocking isn’t his forte.
