The Miami Dolphins received a major scare when left tackle Terron Armstead exited Thursday’s practice with an apparent leg injury.
Armstead fell to the ground and was later carted off the field after slowly walking to the side. Per the Miami Herald‘s Daniel Oyefusi, the four-time Pro Bowler didn’t put any weight on his leg.
As Dolphins fans hold their breath, Tyreek Hill provided an encouraging update. Via the Sun Sentinel‘s David Furones, the star wide receiver said he doesn’t believe Armstead’s injury is serious.
According to Hill, Armstead told him, “I’m straight, man. I’m just old.”

Hill also conveyed his unheralded teammate’s significance to the offense.
“Obviously receivers, we get the success. We get the glory. We get the Instagram followers and all that,” Hill said. “But Terron is a huge part of our team, and I feel like he’s more important than I am.”
Miami acquired Armstead last year after nine seasons with the New Orleans Saints. He shielded the blind side for the league’s sixth-ranked offense.
The Dolphins averaged 25.5 points in his 13 games played and 16.3 points without him.
While he’s one of the top offensive linemen when healthy, Armstead has frequently missed time throughout his career. He’s never played every game in a season, and they may not change for an aging star who turned 32 in July.
